How do i get my decorators caulk neat and tidy?

Decorators caulk is a white emulsion-based sealant and filler typically used for repairing cracks and gaps around skirting boards, architrave, door frames and windows.

It can be tricky to keep your caulking board looking straight and clean but here is good tip that you may find useful. A good way to keep your decorators caulk looking neat and tidy Run a line of masking tape along the top and bottom of the area that you are caulking, ensuring that the gap between the pieces of tape is equal all the way along. Apply the caulk and then using your wet finger to smooth it down. Any excess will then be on the masking tape, leaving you with a smooth neat line once the tape has been removed.
